COS Meeting

CCOR maintains a strong presence at the COS Annual Meeting every year through a variety of events intended for Young Ophthalmologists (YO).

YO Symposium

This is CCOR’s premier half day symposium held during the COS Annual Meeting that brings together residents across Canada to learn about a variety of topics relevant to trainees from renowned national and international speakers.

Medical Student Symposium

Founded in 2023, CCOR helps organize a half day symposium dedicated to medical students in collaboration with the Canadian Ophthalmology Student Interest Group (COSIG). Residents are involved in the symposium by leading mentorship and hands-on clinical skills sessions.

COS Foundation Lectureship

With support of the COS Foundation, CCOR and COSIG recognize a Canadian Ophthalmologist who has made significant contributions to medical education and trainee wellness. In addition to travel funding, they are invited to give the keynote lecture at the Medical Student Symposium on a topic of their choosing.
