Medical Student Symposium
Founded in 2023, CCOR helps organize a half day symposium dedicated to medical students in collaboration with the Canadian Ophthalmology Student Interest Group (COSIG). Residents are involved in the symposium by leading mentorship and hands-on clinical skills sessions.
COS Foundation Lectureship
With support of the COS Foundation, CCOR and COSIG recognize a Canadian Ophthalmologist who has made significant contributions to medical education and trainee wellness. In addition to travel funding, they are invited to give the keynote lecture at the Medical Student Symposium on a topic of their choosing.
Past recipients:
- Dr. Radha Kohly (2024)
- Dr. Agnes Wong (2023)
Skills Transfer Courses
CCOR has also been involved with organizing free wet lab sessions at the COS Annual Meeting exclusively for residents and medical students.
